Pools should be fine at a distance from the water, but without a proper IP rating, this is a speaker you’re using at home, be it inside, or outdoors in the safety of a backyard or deck. The handle at the top helps a lot, and its higher center of gravity makes it kind of feel like carrying a heavier shopping bag, but again, you do have to consider where you take it.
